How is the currency exchange rate derived?
In order to pay the overseas sellers in a timely manner, we must receive your payment quickly. We understand that PayPal is a preferred method of completing these payment transfers, as it is remarkably fast and convenient. As you know, PayPal charges us a fee for every payment received. More importantly, however, Japan is not yet on the list of countries allowed to accept direct bank deposits, so it is impossible for us to withdraw your funds from PayPal directly into our bank. Thus, we have each country, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Japan representatives of the Abidko group to withdraw the funds and wire them directly to our banks. These banks charge us transaction fees which must be absorbed by us along with the PayPal fees. The exchange rate that we use is calculated according to the current international rate, modified according to the amount we actually receive in our bank in relation to the amount that was originally wire
